This is the first dining establishment from OPENING CEREMONY, the popular boutique from New York. POTLUCK opened in the 1st basement floor of OPENING CEREMONY's 7-floor store in Shibuya. The space is decorated with touches of humor here and there and draws a connection to the playfulness with which the upper floors were designed: the ceiling is painted to look like wood flooring, movable light fixtures use traditional light bulbs, parts of the walls are decorated with butcher paper, benches are made out of sheep sculptures, wall displays are made out of a bank of antique shelves and cabinets. With such touches as chairs that can be hung on the wall (which allows staff to adjust the number of seats in the space but also gives the look of Shaker style tables and chairs) the space combines elements of fashion, experimentation and humor.
